Jobs that suit you

I would like your input on what kind of job you see yourself doing. In time I want to set up links for possible job opportuties that could suit you. This blog is aimed to benefit you. So if there is something you would like to do, please comment and I will check it out for you.

What if you have no choice?

Say now you are a single mom. You have to work and whatever job you do whether you like it or not, you have to do it and cannot afford to take chances?

I have thought about this and it is an unfortunate thing having to work day in day out, going with the motions. I don't have all the answers but I can list some things you can do as an extra income and then eventually go full time in if you wanted to. While working, place some extra cash on setting up a computer and internet connection at home. What ever it is you see yourself doing, start putting a little bit of money aside for it.

Go online and research opportunities that might interest you. Watch out for scams and pyramid schemes.. it has to be genuine, so use discerment. If they want money from you to register, then don't do it!!!

Make a list of the things you enjoy doing and then circle the one that could earn you the most money. Advertise yourself. Say you type 80wpm. Place an add, 'typist available' A lot of people don't want a full time secretary and just want typing done for them. You can type the work out and email them. The internet has opened up so many job opportunities.

It is never too late to change your career. You are never too old to try something new. The way the economy is going universally, it would be good to work on earning an extra income anyway. Don't do extra work just for the heck of it, do extra stuff you enjoy doing. Some people enjoy selling tupperware but honestly if it is something you hate, then you are wasting your time and in the end it will bring you further down instead of build you up.

Life is difficult and making some choices are scary. A wise person once said, "if you don't plan, then you plan to fail" So plan ahead while you have a job. Always have goals. Never let go of your dream. But don't let the dream overtake you because that can also bring about dissapointment.

You might not have a choice but while you don't have a choice, it won't harm you to seek out other opportunities available. People make money out of blogging. Education is good but it takes personality to get the job done and experience is key! I couldn't bead to save my life two years ago but now, I can bead watches, necklaces and anything else. I don't always sell jewelry, it is usually around christmas that the sales pick up. Sometimes I have a big order of 900 necklaces for functions. The key is to put yourself out there. You have nothing to lose. All this can be done whilst working and over time, who know's, you could have a big time business of your own.

Jobs I love

Money can be made doing the jobs that you enjoy doing. I honestly believe that if you love what you are doing, the money will come in naturally. A hunger to do what you love to do and an easiness to waking up in the morning all fall into doing a job that you love to do.

I will want to work when doing something I enjoy.

I enjoy all the work I do now. Some of the articles I write requires extra attention, spell checking and research. Another great job is Fax to email mainly because it is so darn good. It is easy to do something and promote if it is a good product. The company which is called Swiftcall are professional and are always on top of their game. They make my part of the job quite easy.

With fax to email, people save money big time, it is free and the benefits are endless. People opting for the fax to email service save on ink, paper and filing space. You can choose to delete it or save it to your documents. So in general that job is probably one of my favourites.

Painting on the other hand requires a lot of inspiration and so does beading.

However the top of the tops has to be mothering my son. I love playing sony playstation with him and spending time with him. As hard as it may be and it requires more patience than I have ever needed, it is rewarding raising him.

The choice I had to make

I am not a natural office lady. I have worked in an office. I had a company car, medical aid, cell phone, you name it but I was still very unhappy. If I decide to leave my job, I would say goodbye to all the benefits and this would require a huge sacrifice.

I am a mother first, so my priorities have always been that way inclined. It broke my heart to drop my son off at day care. I quit my job, lost the benefits and to tell you the truth, I was happy again even though I could not longer go clothe shopping, buy makeup or drive anywhere I choose. I now had to walk everywhere and it was tough. I earnestly started looking for ways to make money.

I started beading, I gave computer lessons from home, I groomed and washed dogs, I started promoting other companies, you name it, I tried it. I now still do pretty much the same. I write articles for a small ammount of money but every cent counts. I am also a fax2email agent. My dream would be to have regular articles I write printed in a magazine or start my own magazine or write a book. Who knows? I have many things that I like to do but I will never work in an office! That is just not my make up. I would rather sacrifice than lose out on bring up my son. Being a mother is my primary job. There is no pay but its worth every second! I have also done data capturing, anything to make extra money that has come my way, I take it like a bull running after the red cloth.

There will be months that I have no work and then suddenly I will have an overload of work coming in. The main thing is that I enjoy what I do even though it does not make me rich.

Another part of my job is cleaning my home and I hate this part of the sacrifice. There are some people who just don't like the office environment. I believe that those who are struggling to enjoy their life and the day to day agony of driving to work should start looking for alternatives. Women in particular struggle to find happiness like I did. Their hearts are for the home, for their children and for their husband.

There are online jobs available, advertise yourself, put yourself out there. You never know what might happen along the way.

I love to paint

One of the things that I do is paint. I maybe sell a painting once a year if I am lucky. The thing about it is that I love it. Many people say I am good at it. I don't know for sure if I am any good at it. I didn't go to university to study art. I will go through moments where I will paint ten paintings in a month and then I don't paint for seven months.

This is one of the things I love to do and if it makes me money at the end of the day, Great, if not, then I will have to focus on my many other trades.

A new beginning

I thought it would be a good thing to start blogging about the work I do. The work I choose to do is the work I love to do. I have a strong will when it comes to doing what I love. I have decided to sacrifice a lot for the sake of doing what I love to do. This always comes at a cost and not many people can do what they want.

It is unfortunate that many people are forced to work. Bills need to be paid etc. So in this, I blog about my own personal insights regarding the venture of working.
